4 Simple Ways to Celebrate Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day can’t be as stressful as it is magical. Often times we find ourselves racking our brains on how to impress and woo our dates. The truth of the matter is that you don’t need an extravagant outing to show your lover you care. More or less they just want to feel special, and there are many ways to do this while keeping things simple and stress-free.

Tea Date

Who doesn’t love tea? Taking your date out (or staying in) for a nice relaxing cup of tea with some tasty sweets is a great idea for a Valentine’s Day gift. You could even take it a step further and get your significant other a tea set as a gift, which you can then break in together during the date.

Be careful with this one though, one tea date often leads to many, and you may find yourself stuck in a weekly tea date for life. We use the term “stuck” pretty lightly here, who doesn’t want a weekly tea date!?

This is a no brainer. Holidays are about relaxing!

You can do this at home or go all out and have a nice relaxing spa day. We recommend the latter. Mudding it up with your significant other is a great way to spend Valentine’s Day. It’ll help the both of you unwind and really appreciate each others company. This goes double if you have other things to worry about, like kids. Get away from it all and spend some quality time with your lover and it’ll be sure to please.

Holidays are about getting away from the daily grind, so why muddle things up with stressful travel and packed restaurants? Prepare a nice meal for you significant other and share a special day in with them. The opportunities are endless with this one, you could run them a hot bath, decorate your bedroom to the occasion, or marathon your favorite romantic comedies. At the end of the day, you are showing you care and removing the hustle and bustle out of the holiday, that’s two birds with one stone, as they say.

Special Treats

The holiday doesn’t require that you drop 100 gifts of on your lover, or show up with a bunch of roses, but it’s certainly encouraged and an option. If you really want to go all out, pair this with one of our previous recommendations. Showering your lover with gifts is sure to impress just about anyone and really sends the message that you care. Money isn’t as important as them, and you’re willing to spend to make them happy. This sends a powerful message. The only downside is you’ll be constantly trying to keep up with your first run in next Valentine’s Day to come, which can start to add the stress back into your simple Valentine’s Day.
